So as mentioned in the post before: my cousin Anna Katharina came from my grannies birthday back with us to Hamburg. And we showed her around a bit because it was her first time here and we wanted to make a good impression. Hamburg showed it's best side I would say.
We went down the Mönckebergstraße and into the St. Petri church. Katrin lit a candle.
Then we continued to cityhall and I showed those two (Katrin wasn't there before either) the nice courtyard of cityhall with the fountain.
Then we just walked around Neuer Wall and then slowly to the harbour. There was Harbourbithday these days and the city was packed with people... it was also good weather and a very summerish feeling was in the air.
I didn't make any photos at the harbour because there were so many people I didn't see much of it. But I was in the old Elbtunnel for the first time.
So there is a first time for me as well. I decided to go back there soon again when there are not so many people and make some photos.
Some nice grafitti somewhere in St. Pauli. Of course Anna Katharina wanted to go there and now she knows: there are many nice and seeworthy parts in Hamburg, but Reeperbahn is not one of them anymore.
Somewhere in the backstreets of St. Pauli we found a nice café and enjoyed the good time we had.
What I wanted to mention at the end of my blogging phase for this week: I bought a project for me, an analogue compact camera. A Canon AF35M II. and I started to make photos with it. My project is city scapes, light and shadow, facades of houses and streets. I'm practicing because I want to go back to Japan next year. Just for two weeks, but it's a big step for me and I want to document it on film. I chose this camera as my weapon and at the moment I'm practicing with it. Hamburg, probably Lissabon later in this year are my practicing objects. I want to know the camera very well when I will go back to Japan.
I will show you the first results of course in near future.

Last week was my grannies birthday - It kept the whole family boiling for weeks! Us grandchildren (we are 12) planned a book with many photos and texts from us like a leitmotif with how we grew up, what we think of when we think of our grannie and what we remember very closely. For me it was sushi, the swimming pool, cake and how my grannie always fixed up my favourite stuffed teddy (called Teddy).
Shortly before I also went to the haircutter and tried out a new length for my hair. I actually really like it and I think I will keep it that way at the moment.
My whole outfit was a planned concept for two days actually. My keyingredients where my favourite new jacket, red nails and lips and a lot of black. I felt too cool for school.
My boyfriend Spaceboy met my whole family for the first time. Which is quite a challenge because my family is big. As I said: 12 grandkids plus parents, aunts and uncles, spouses and so on... Here you see our romantic hotelroom and me in the mirror.
Here is my outfit for the evening. I got that dress at our clothes swap party a few weeks ago of my best friend. It was the perfect dress for that occasion. Perfectly tailored, flowers and not too short. Also I bought some new simple black pumps.
So there were many photos made that evening, but because I want to maintain a little privacy I will just show the people you already know + one or two.
Some of my cousins: Katrin (left) you know because she is my roomie, Helene you also know because she is Katrin little sister (right) and in the middle there is a new face! Also a cousin of mine, Anna Katharina. After the birthday she came home with us and we showed her some Hamburg. She has never been there before.
Well, there is me and there is Spaceboy...
The room where the celebration took place. Very good food and drinks, very lovely people, great speeches. A very lovely night that made me very happy and a hangover the next day. But so worth it!
The best for last: My cutie two cousins being all dorky and stuff... Love you! <3
The next post will be about the following weekend with sight seeing around Hamburg.

Time flies, guys! Easter is already so far gone... don't worry I didn't forget you, it's just so much to do that usually there is no time for blogging. You know that problem right? But I enjoy blogging so much, so I'm still trying to make room for it in my scedule. So room for it is this week somehow and I try to use the time to catch up a bit.
I don't know why, but I forgot to mention right before easter I went on a very classy date with my boyfriend. I even bought a tiny black dress for that occassion. So that one night we took a cap to the nice restaurant called NIL. Spaceboy and his father go there often, so they also knew him. We had a four course menu, champagne and pouilly fume.
First and most important of all: Here is my outfit. The dress was really short, but I love it. Also we took the cap so there was no trouble with walking to the station or anything.
This was the menu: 1. Vegetable tempura with lentils on crêpe. 2. Fish on spinach with potato mousse and mussel vinaigrete. 3. Beef with Gnocchi and savoy cabbage. 4. Caramelised peacans and apple tarte with salty vanilla icecream - the last one was my favourite! I almost cried...
Also I visited my dearest Jenn in Hannover and we went for a shopping and sushi day. I was so lucky with the weather and had the time of my life at Primark and Lush.
The last weeks Jenn was in Japan for the first time and I'm really curious how it was for her. I believe it was a dream come true and I'm so happy for her.
Also I'm going for a lot of walks the recent days to discover my neighbourhood and take a lot of photos. These I made when spring was about to start.
More postings will follow soon, I just don't want to swamp the whole place...
