New place, new sights, new heights

As I already mentioned in some posts before this summer I moved to a new apartment, out of the place with mum and my brother, and together with two other roommates. I would introduce you properly, but I don't think they would do that right now with pictures and all. Maybe in some near future there will be photos, but the ones I have at the moment are of the housewarming party and they are... not really flattering for every person on those photos. We will see. My roomies are Sebastian and Joscha, just in case I mention a name I havn't mentioned before.

Actually this post will show you first of all my room. Some time ago I already uploaded photos on tumblr with the steps of how I decorated my wall over my bed. Here they are again:

Also by now I can show you some other parts of my room. Bookcase, mirror and vinyl player. The rest is just a wardrobe and my desk with my computer.

Last week Sebastian was showing me the way to the Öjendorfer Park, which is kind of close to our place and some days later I dragged Joscha with me to go there again, because it was nice weather and I wanted to make some photos. These are the first impressions of that park. I guess I will go there more often to see the seasons and make photos.

By now I feel pretty much at home and I can't imagine going back to live with my mother. Also I'm very happy that I met Sebastian and Joscha. It really means a lot to me that I feel so comfortable around them.

Also I wanted to bring up my photo tumblr again. I recently started to occupy myself with the analogue photography once more. I looked through old photos I made and scanned them and loaded them up on my photo tumblr. Also in future I want to continue making analogue photos. So here is the link to my photo tumblr:

And those who want to see the analogue photos in particular, here is the link with the tag 'analogue':

"Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional."

Oh well, as promised the post about my birthday / our housewarming party. My plan that day was to take some tea in the afternoon with some friends, and those who'd like could also stay for the housewarming party that evening.
I was a little stressed out at first when the teatime started, because it's quite some time ago that I held a real party with more than 5 people, so I first had to find my groove. In the end I was quite thankful for the helpings hands who supported me. The teaparty was held in the room of one my roomies, because he has couches. And a coffee table. And a TV, although we didn't use that one. I was putting on vinyl in my room, Beatles, Elvis and so on. It's a habit of mine and I think the others liked it too. I think. Anyway, of course there are photos! I didn't make them though. I just gave my camera to Marie and my cousin Katrin and they made all the photos with my camera. But I have also some photos who were made by my friend Carina.

First I show you the coffee table:

Nici and Carina baked me a cherry chocolate cake with Game of Thrones motif (it's the direwolf of the Stark family, my favourite family). It looks great, doesn't it? Was also super tasty! Another good friend of mine and her husband baked a vegan chocolate cake, which was very yummie as well. I didn't bake, ha! I just bought some cupcakes, which you can see in the picture too. Somehow I ended up eating them sometimes, because no one else would. I guess I won't buy cupcakes again, when no one wants to eat them... the excuse that they look so pretty doesn't count for me anymore!
So we just talked, ate cake, drank coffee and tea. I was very happy that all these wonderful people came and spend some time together.

I didn't make a photo of the presents I got for my birthday, though some people asked me to. I actually enjoyed them mostly for myself, but I can say that I got quite a lot of awesome DVDs, nice english books and a beautiful art book about Renoir. The only thing I have a photo of is the present I bought for myself. A selfmade analogue two lense camera. See the picture below.

Yes, I put this together myself. Like Lego for grown ups. I think all together I needed around 4 to 5 hours. But it was worth it. I love it! I didn't start to take photos with it yet though. But soon...

Here are also some photos of the people who were there.

And well then, the afternoon was over, the evening started with the housewarming party and everything went into a big blur...

Seriously, there are more photos of that night, but I thought that I rather not load them up. I think there some people quite thankful for that (especially I am thankful to me for that decision. Ehem.). Most people on the photos look very drunk (no, not just me!) which we were (or it was just me, not sure). All I can say that later that week we got a letter of the property management that a neighbour complained. I find this rather funny.

Cheers indeed, mates~

International Garden Exhibition Hamburg

A new blog entry is by far overdue, so here I come. Actually these incidents were in August, so also already some time ago. But anyway, I was with some parts of the family of my mum at the 'igs' (International Garden Exhibition), which was held up until now in Hamburg.
It was quite a nice day, at least in the morning there was some sun, but later on just clouds and also a little rain. But I didn't stay until the heavy rain started. The night before my best friend came over and we drank together with my roomie (by now I have two roomies, but that time it was just one) until early in the morning. You can imagine, while my best friend and roomie were still sleeping I had to wander through the gardens of the igs. I was mainly... super tired and slightly hung over. One of my greataunts was making fun of me, because besically I'm always hung over when I see this part of the family. I was always on some party or something the night before, so they just know me with a lot of remained alcohol in the system. Kind of sad, but I try to see it the bright way.

So here are the photos:

Of course you see mainly flowers and garden stuff. Ultimately it's a garden exhibition right? Ha. I feel so funny today... ehem. They had some quite pretty things there, although... I usually think it's kind of illusional to find artificial nature as beautiful as real nature. Although... what is really real nature nowadays?

I hope I will be able to upload soon some more photos... maybe about the apartment and also the brithday/housewarming party.

Cheers, mates~
